Postural and Positioning Belts
Hardware
The hardware for postural positioning belts includes chafes and slides. This hardware is used for
attaching belts and adjusting the size of belts. All belts are made of reliable 2 inch black auto
seatbelt webbing and is washable.
Y-Belt
This 4 point belt fits comfortably across hips and extends at a 45 degree angle on either side of the belt.
Adjustments are made with hook and loop fasteners plus D-ring. Hardware may be purchased and used
for adjustability. For fastening belt to chair attach higher portion of belt to lower back cane while
lower portion should be attached to the underside of the rear seat frame.
Y-Belt with Safety
Offers the same positioning as above Y-Belt, while adding extra protection against removal of the belt.
The safety is 1 inch webbing with side release buckle sewn across hook and loop fastener and webbing adjustment.
K-Belt
Top webbing fits across hips and attaches to lower back cane. Lower webbing extends across femurs
and should be attached near the mid section of the seat frame on chair. Padded with Neoprene and
1/4 inch H.R. foam.
Pelvic Belt
Adds stability and reassurance for your client. This comfortable belt fits across
hips and is attached
to back canes of wheelchair. This two piece belt consists of 2 inch webbing and is adjusted
with hook and loop fasteners and D-ring.
Lateral support belt
Intended to be positioned between pelvis and chest area. This one piece belt adds support to trunk, helping
to maintain greater independence in seating system.
Safety Strap
This consists of 2 inch elastic webbing which is attached to angled stainless steel brackets that
serve as a locking device to safely secure the seating system to wheelchair.
Transfer Belt
Adjustable 2 inch extra stiff nylon webbing
4 inch handles made from 2 inch seatbelt webbing
